PAL Summer Camp Program
As with all of our programs the PAL Summer Camp program is offered at a nominal fee for all North Fulton youth. We offer summer camp Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each week to help our youth combat summer boredom and to provide a fun alternative to excessive idle time.
The current facility at the Eagle Village Gym complex in the heart of downtown Alpharetta provides a large gymnasium for volleyball, basketball, and other sports activities. Arts, crafts, guest speakers, and field trips are exciting additions to the sporting activities. Campers travel to Wills Park on a regular basis to play flag football, softball, and kickball and to go swimming at the community pool. Transportation to all events is provided by PAL.
Summer Camp is supervised by Ms. Stephanie Breen, coordinator of the Alpharetta PAL program, and a variety of officers and community volunteers. Off-duty officers frequently drop by to shoot some hoops or to participate in other sporting activities with the kids.
Dates: June 1 – August 5
When: Mondays – Thursdays 8am-4pm
Place: PAL Gym in the Eagle Village Youth Complex behind the Alpharetta City Hall
Who: All North Fulton Youth ages 8 – 14
Cost: $35 per child, per week or $300 if paid in advance. (Savings of $5 per week!)
Activities: Many surprises are in store for this fun and exciting summer! There will be plenty of sports, crafts, fun activities and a lot of swimming! But there will also be a wide variety of field trips to engage the imagination and the body. We’re already planning on playing ice skating, kayaking, fishing, and inner tubing. Each summer is new and different; this summer make sure you join PAL and be part of the fun!
Registration:
PAL participants already enrolled in PAL programs can begin pre-registration on or after 3/8/10.
PAL Summer Camp 2009 attendees can begin pre-registration on or after 3/22/10.
On 4/6/10, enrollment will be open to the general public of North Fulton on a first come, first served basis.
Parents wishing to enroll their child must see Ms. Stephanie Breen, Program Coordinator, in person at the PAL gym. There is a $35 non-refundable deposit required at the time of enrollment; this $35 will go towards the first week of camp.
Pre-Registration information and Registration Forms will be available at the PAL Gym or can be emailed to you. But, you CANNOT enroll via email. All requests via email to enroll their child will not be validated until you see Ms. Breen in person and provide the deposit.
