Alpharetta PAL Golf Program
The PAL Golf program has both a spring and a fall season and involves youth learning, practicing, and playing the sport of golf. The program is a cooperative effort of River Pines Golf Course, Georgia Golf Center, the Alpharetta High School Raiders Golf Team, and community volunteers, headed by Police Captain Kirk Harth. Equipment, including clubs, bag, and golf balls, are provided.
The program includes instruction in all aspects of golf, including etiquette on the course and individualized skills demonstration and practice. Students are divided into three skill levels, based on their current abilities. All PAL golfers will work on the practice tees to build a good golf swing and then play nine holes on a Par 3 at River Pines Golf Course.
The goal of the program is to teach sportsmanship and etiquette on the golf course, to develop a sound golf swing, and to instill life-long enjoyment of the game of golf.
If you are interested in having your child take part in the PAL Golf Program, please request the Student Membership Application/Waiver. You can then either send it in to Alpharetta PAL or email it to Officer Jason Cimino at jcimino@alpharetta.ga.us
